Though not many people know, Tulips are actually native to Turkey and this festival celebrates the many vibrant and stunning flowers that bloom here.

Tulips were grown during the 16th and 17th centuries during the Ottoman Empire regime. Most tulips grown in Europe have come from Turkey.

The festival will be held from the 1st to the 30th of April in Emirgan Park close to the beautiful Bosphorous region. There are other tulip gardens all over the city.
